As part of this enterprise agreement between RedHat and the University of Florida, all UF departments and colleges will have the ability to utilize unlimited RedHat Enterprise Linux and RedHat Desktop/Workstation variants. All current (and new) RedHat RHEL, Workstation/Desktop subscriptions *and* support will be uplifted to Premium versions of both. This means 24x7 RedHat support for your RedHat environments when needed. All UF departments utilizing these RedHat technologies will be able to simplify their security, patch and system management utilizing our UF-implemented RedHat Satellite service. As stated, there are no additional costs for individuals, colleges or departments wishing to take advantage of these technologies as we were able to leverage our current focused buying power with RedHat to enable this opportunity UF-wide.
